Thank you very much to everyone that joined us last weekend for the Autumn Party. The event was an enormous success with so many of the young people in our local area getting to have a wonderful morning and afternoon ahead of fireworks night.
The event raised over £800 for the Preschool. This will make a significant impact on helping us to offer the best in play and learning experiences. We hope those of you new to the Preschool or considering the Preschool for the first time got to see that we are offer more than childcare between 9am and 4pm. We, as a charity, are committed to building and supporting a local community for young people and their families.
There are a few thanks you we would like to make…
Firstly, thank you to everyone that turned out to support the event. On a rather drizzly day it can be tempting to stay indoors but you made it out in significant numbers and your support is greatly appreciated.
Secondly, to a number of local businesses that helped to support the event. Parents, Rebecca and Francesca who supported the event through donations of food and drink from their respective family businesses. We also recieved a kind donation from Balkerne Gate Development . Willsher & Sons gave us a very good deal on supplies of burgers and sausages; they are currently taking Christmas orders if you haven’t secured your Christmas meat supplies yet!
Finally, to the parents and family members that helped out on the day. No-one was paid to host the Autumn Party so every stall was only able to run through individuals giving up their Saturday. Our raffle was organised by Charlotte who managed to convience many local businesses to donate prizes. Thank you!
The Autumn Party is just one of the events that we host throughout the year to bring the community of local families together. Alongside our cinema mornings, that we aim to host every term, we also hold a Christmas Party and an Easter Party. We hope to share dates with you soon.
