Welcome to Christchurch Preschool. We are based at Christ Church in Ireton Road, Colchester. Our purpose is the promote the personal and social development of the children we serve, ensuring they are well-prepared for primary education.
Our staff are experienced and well qualified to meet the needs of your child. They deliver activities in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
We offer full-day provision on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and half-day provision on Friday.

Ofsted
We were visited by Ofsted in April 2022 and rated ‘Good’ in all areas. Our latest Ofsted report is available here.
Admissions
If you are interested in joining our preschool please complete the prospective admission form. Rachel, our Manager, will be in touch to discuss your request and offer you a tour of the preschool.
Funding
All children are eligible for Government 3-year-old funding at the beginning of the school term after their 3rd birthday for up to 15 hours per week. Here at Christchurch Preschool, we honour this funding and offer additional fee-paid sessions.
Parents are also able to access up to 26.25 hours of the 30 hours funding at Christchurch Preschool. We have significant experience in split provision where parents opt to use some hours with ourselves and others at an alternative provider. We understand that parents value the opportunity that Christchurch Preschool offers in forming bonds and friendships ahead of their transition to primary school and we do our best to accommodate this.

Fees
Government guidelines require us to have a higher ratio of staff for younger children so this is reflected in our pricing structure,
Prices per hour:
3 and 4 year old: £7
2 year old: £8
A voluntary 50p snack fee is requested to support the ongoing provision of healthy snacks.
